In Luke 5:17-26, we see the story of a group of men who bring their paralyzed friend to Jesus.  However, when they get to the house where Jesus is teaching, the house is too full so they are unable to bring their friend to Jesus.  Instead of being discouraged, they climb to the roof, dig through the ceiling, and lower their friend to the feet of Jesus.  Because of their faith and determination, their friend was healed.

These men did whatever it took to bring their friend to Jesus.  They knew what their paralyzed friend needed and they went to extreme measures to accomplish their task.  The question for us is, "are we willing to do whatever it takes to bring our friends to Christ?"

We wear a small rope around our wrist to remind us of this story.  It also serves as a reminder that we need to do whatever it takes to bring our friends to Christ.  No matter the cost.  No matter the pain.  No matter the humiliation.  Whatever it takes.

Will you do whatever it takes?
